Email Search
Project: Design an email search tool to decrease the amount of time needed to investigate and resolve customer questions by expediting the process of finding relevant information.
Proof of concept: Working with guidance provided by the Account Management team, I developed a low-fidelity prototype to demonstrate our capabilities and to initiate a dialogue with the project stakeholders.
Business and User Research: Through phone interviews and questionnaires I conducted user research to understand the client’s business objectives as well as the users’ work practices. This information was synthesized into quick findings and task flows which were distributed to the users for validation.
Functional Requirements: Utilizing the information gathered through the business and user research, I collaborated with the client’s Project Manager in the creation of the Functional Requirements specifications.
Rapid-Prototyping: Based on the validated user research, I created low-fidelity prototypes using Balsamiq. They depicted the email search application as well as a separate user management tool. These prototypes were used to conduct remote usability testing, utilizing web conferencing tools.
Interface Design: Following the acceptance of the final iteration of the prototype I designed the user interface and created the design elements using Sketch. This included guidance for the development team on how the elements should resize and re-flow based on viewing platform.
